Welcome back to another edition of Content Clout AI

If you're running a business, you'll know how quickly the little jobs add up. A client meeting finishes, but you still need to write up your notes, remember what was agreed, update your task list and send a follow-up email. Before you know it, half an hour has disappeared and you're already behind on the next thing.

These are exactly the kinds of tasks where AI could make a difference.

There's a lot of excitement about AI agents — tools that can do more than answer questions and may be able to complete several connected steps on your behalf. But you don't need to understand all the technology, or hand over control of your business, to start benefiting from it.

This week, we're looking at one practical place to begin: using AI to turn messy meeting notes into something useful, with less time spent on the admin afterwards.

Here's what we're covering:

  • The Big Story: How AI is moving beyond answering questions to helping with everyday business tasks.

  • Tool Worth Your Time: Granola, an AI meeting notebook.

  • The Work Lab: A simple exercise to reduce post-meeting admin.

  • Copy & Paste Prompt: Turn rough notes into clear actions and a follow-up email.

  • 3 Things Worth Knowing: Practical advice for using AI more effectively.

For many business owners, the challenge isn't a lack of ideas or ambition. It's finding enough hours in the day to get everything done.

You might spend your morning speaking to clients, your afternoon answering emails and your evening catching up on the admin you didn't have time for earlier. None of those individual tasks necessarily takes very long, but together they can consume a surprising amount of your week.

That's why one of the most interesting developments in AI isn't simply that it can write better answers. It's that some tools are becoming capable of helping with several stages of a task, rather than waiting for you to provide a new instruction at every step.

What does that actually mean for your business?

Imagine you've just finished a client meeting.

Normally, you might need to read through your notes, identify what you promised to do, update your task list and write an email confirming the next steps.

AI can already help you prepare much of that information. Depending on the tools you're using, it may also be possible to connect parts of the process so that fewer details need to be copied between applications.

For a busy founder, that could mean less time organising information and more time focusing on clients, decisions and the work that actually grows the business.

But there's an important distinction between AI helping you prepare a task and giving it permission to complete that task independently.
